Weekend
Pamper yourselves doolally at the Spa Corallium in the four-star Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort (Mar Mediterraneo 1; 928 12 81 00; www.lopesan.com). The spa’s circuit starts at the Womb Room aka Zodiac Relax Room which is a more sensual experience than you’d imagine. Before taking you on a global tour, featuring an African Sauna, Hamam (Turkish Bath), Ice World and Igloo, replete with snow showers, and Himalayan Salt Cave. Playa Amadores may well translate as Lovers’ Beach but
the less romantically-sounding Patalavaca (Cow’s Leg) is actually a better bet to wow your partner. Dress to impress at Restaurante La Aquarela (Barranco de la Verga 5; 928 73 58 91; www.restaurantelaaquarela.com), smarter than its tucked-away location in the Aquamarina apartment/bungalow complex suggests. The classicist’s four-course gourmet menu will set you back €45 whilst the à la carte menu sees traditional ingredients and modern cooking methods collide to propel you to Gastro Heaven.
