Perking the Pansies
Jack and Liam move to Turkey

What’s the legal position concerning gay people in Turkey?

Answer

Homosexuality is not specifically mentioned in the national legal code. Therefore, gay people live in legal limbo, neither persecuted nor protected. However, discrimination is rife at all levels in society and frowned by most of Government, and politicians from most parties. Nevertheless, Jack and Liam rarely experienced prejudice from Turkish people. They supposed, as western infidels, they were hell-bound anyway so it hardly mattered what they did as long they were discrete. Read about it in Perking the Pansies, Jack and Liam move to Turkey.
