Exploration Stage The third stage of TCK Identity Development. When TCKs realize that they are different from others, they will naturally go into a period of ‘exploration’ to try to understand why. They will explore the internet, read books or talk to people who can help them understand what makes them different from their peers. Once they understand that it is their international experiences that make them different, they move into the Integration Stage.
