Integration Stage

The fourth stage of TCK Identity Development. Once TCKs understand who they are and how their international life experience has shaped them. The stage where they have achieved congruence (harmony) in the sense of who they are and can be comfortable with being different from their domestic or home-country peers. Once a TCK reaches the integration stage he or she will either embrace his or her life experiences and use them to strengthen his or her success or he or she will discard them as being irrelevant.
