It uses all your emotions —
Abandoning your vulnerability, sacrificing other relationships, exposing your heart, mind, and soul;
Surrendering to emotional ties and weaknesses and seeing,
hearing, and doing what is hardest over and over again.
And it involves —
All of you, codependency and interdependency;
Overlooking faults with blindness and deafness;
Forgiving, forgetting, and not forsaking;
A lot of tears, too many sleepless nights, as overindulgences become the norm.
Then it entails —
Neglecting someone else;
Talking but a lot more listening;
Living and breathing the same air, but with different intentions;
Some good, a lot of bad, and unfortunately the ugly we would rather not see or hear.
